Senior Level Engineering Position

 

Pearson Electronics is seeking an experienced Senior Level Engineer with a background in Physics and/or Electrical Engineering.   This position reports to the President and will be involved in all aspects of the company’s technical operations, supporting our current measuring transformer product line and related products.  Responsibilities are divided into two broad categories: providing application support to our customers and working with the design, manufacturing, testing and quality in our production department.  Familiarity with AC waveforms, pulsed power, magnetics, current instrumentation, test equipment-procedures, and light assembly-manufacturing is preferred. This is a hands-on position in a positive working environment with multiple responsibilities in a very successful, well established small business.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Work with Chief Engineer, management and production staff
  • Familiarize with the company’s product line and operations
  • Provide technical application support to our customers
  • Generate and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our assembly processes
  • Actively involved with quality control and testing procedures

 
Requirements:

  • Analytical and hands-on skills required
  • Experience working both independently and within a team-oriented environment with the ability to work with all staff levels
  • Knowledge of EMI testing and EMC standards a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • US resident
  • Very Good AutoCAD and Visual Basic programming skills a plus


Education: Masters or PhD in Physics, or Electrical Engineering.
Experience: Minimum 10 years applicable experience
Travel: Occasional travel to conferences and customer sites
